Gloucester’s Layce Alves 7th Win!
Tremendous race and tremendously fun for we watching the race. The most enjoyable was seeing the families cheer on their loved ones. I didn’t photograph the men’s and women’s winners Dan Chruniak and Layce Alves crossing the finish line as I was filming them. This was Layce Alves 7th 5k win! Sara Favazza proudly stands by the statue of Saint Peter. She is the youngest of Captain Salvatore Favazza’s ten children. In 1926-1927, Captain Favazza commissioned Charlestown sculptor De Petero to create the statue of Saint Peter.
